New Legislation Would Address Supply Chains

Bill would require federal agencies to get involved.

Senator Marco Rubio of Florida and Representative Ro Khanna of California have introduced legislation that seeks to strengthen supply chains.

The National Development Strategy and Coordination Act would require Cabinet-level agencies to identify weak areas in the supply chain and provide recommendations on how they can be addressed by their departments.

Representative Khanna said, “Workers across the country have seen their jobs shipped abroad and their communities hurt by decentralization. With such a narrowly divided Congress, restoring American manufacturing leadership is work that can be done in a bipartisan fashion and unify Americans around a shared purpose.”

Senator Rubio stated, “If we want to be a strong nation, we have to rebuild and invest in critical industries at home. This bill lays the groundwork by creating the roadmap, using existing tools within our government, to focus on and invest in things that actually matter.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For members of the House and Senate as they debate and consider the legislation that addresses supply chain weaknesses.
  • For the president and his administration as they endeavor to strengthen supply chains.
